I've never understood the Speedman appeal. He looks very...dull, to me.
It's the sweet and dumb boy-toy appeal. I imagine him to be good-natured and low-maintenance, sort of like a bouncing golden retriever. And enthusiastic if unimaginative in the sack.

Well, if the guy in question takes direction well, it's a good start.
Passing Through Gethsemane. He was a monk. And also a serial killer, prior to be being a monk. But not a technomage.
He wasn't a Vulcan on Voyager. It was one of the Detective Tuvok cases, and they did a mind-meld, so maybe that's the source of confusion. And then in another episode he died heroically, but I'd given up by then.
I can remember all this crap, but do I have to look up the spelling of Gethsemane. There's something very wrong with me.

A monk, right. For some reason, I was remembering the monk as a technomage. It's been a few years.

Wow, I couldn't think of him as a creep now...the doc being the kind of damaged soul that lends my fan's heart to great character love, although with the doc, it's not porn for me. I would like to see him get somebody on TV, though. Although he wouldn't be in Deadwood if not for the grave-robbing convictions so maybe it's not hard to see how that actor got the call.

Huh. That X3 trailer is significantly better than my total lack of hope would have implied. Not that I think it will actually be good, but it might at leats be fun.
I'm sure similar plot points directed by Bryan Singer with a script written sometime before the movie started filming would have turned out BETTER, but at least it doesn't look like they included the rumored pheromone-producing-mutant.
