Patrick Stewart as Dr. Manhattan?
Buffista Movies 5: Development Hell
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Patrick Stewart as Dr. Manhattan?
Hm. I always see ol' Jon Osterman as being younger than Patrick Stewart.
Maybe Liam Neeson? With his head all shaved?
I've always been partial to Dan Aykroyd as Nite Owl, but he may be getting too old for that. Maybe Greg Grunberg, though.
Maybe Liam Neeson? With his head all shaved?
That could work. I just think we know Patrick Stewart looks good bald, although I agree that Dr. Manhattan is probably much younger.
Maybe Greg Grunberg, though.
Hee.
Christian Bale is too pretty for Rorschach, isn't he?
Wait, he spends most of the time covered in bandages, so it doesn't matter...
Sometimes I think William H. Macy for Rorschach. Then I wonder.
Have any Buffistas seen "Shut up And Sing?" cause Netflix sent it today. I hope it's FG. Also, (thrall alert) Ken Burns' baseball, volume one.Which the object of my thrall insists is mistake-prone, but I am *such* a blank slate, that I'll learn more than not, I think. Like the only thing I know about baseball versus quantum physics is Annie Savoy and that song about cracker jack. And you hit with the big end, right?
Ron Perlman as the Comedian.
Ron Perlman as the Comedian.
Genius.
I could actually sorta see Christian Bale with his hair bleached as Ozymandias.
I also kinda think Michael Keaton would make a good Rorschach. He can do the right kinda crazy, I think.
Genius.
I thought you'd like that. I looked at the picture on Wikipedia and thought, "Who's a burly, craggy-faced guy who looks good chomping a cigar?" The answer was obvious.

Ooh!

Aaah, yes.
So who's got Zack Snyder's e-mail address?
Just got back from seeing Hot Fuzz (which comes out in the US in April) -- it is MADE OF AWESOME. It's got all the same style and humour of Shaun and Spaced, but it takes everything to a whole new level. It's so great to see these guys maturing and stretching out and finessing their old tricks and adding in new ones. They just keep getting better and better.
