Buffista Movies 5: Development Hell

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Mark Romanek and Andrew Kevin Walker? This sounds promising.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Romanek will make it look good, that's for sure. Still, I'm dubious about it.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

They've found a way to keep me from watching a werewolf movie where the crappy scripts of Underworld and Blood & Chocolate failed: cast Benecio Del Toro in the title role.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Now tagless for your comfort.

You know how really shitty movies can sometimes get better over time? That's not happening with The Phantom Menace. I'm getting more pissed off at George Lucas by the second.

Of course I could blame myself. I'm watching it on HBO on Demand.

I swear, I thought it might be better after a few years.

::checks again::

Nope.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

watched Alpha Dog earlier. it was a great movie, but the ending killed me. not that i wasn't expecting it since it's a true story and all...

question (a la Dwight Schrute). do all Oscar nominated movies have to be so freaking sad? gah.

move out and draw fire

OK. We finally watched Harold and Kumar. At one point, the DH was lying face down on the floor in front of the TV, crying, he was laughing so hard. Kal Penn has got screen charisma and to spare.
