See, that sounds like a nice way to spend a couple of hours.

Buffista Movies 5: Development Hell
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Yeah. I had a nice time. It didn't move my world or anything, like Children of Men did, but it was calming and pretty. A bit saccharine, but sometimes you're in a mood for a little bit of sugar. Zellweger's English accent didn't quite cut it -- not enough of a starchy upper class miss -- but I didn't mind over much. And McGregor sang briefly, leaving me a pile of mush.
I love the bits where the animal characters in her paintings moved.

This right here buys my ticket.
We watched Little Miss Sunshine last night and I don't think I've laughed that loudly in ages.
The last 5 minutes of that film was so incredible.
Cashmere -- agreed! The last scene totally makes that movie.
I really really loved the teenage son. But then I loved all of the characters in all their eccentricity. I like that the movie has a happy ending, despite the fact that all of their troubles have ended up worse than when they began the plot. Puts a lot into perspective for me.
I'm not sure this will be quite as funny if you haven't seen it, but some wonderful person has compiled all of Nick Cage's very best work from the remake of The Wicker Man, including one absolute gem that must have been on the deleted scenes reel. Go. Watch. Laugh.
Step AWAY....from the BIKE...
I can't imagine how funny it is if you have seen it. That is HYSTERICAL.
Seriously?! "My eyes! My eyes!!!"
SERIOUSLY?!
Oh man, that could be a watch-and-drink at some point.
Okay, I didn't see the movie because I don't like horror movies, but wow, that's just hilariously bad. I mean, the bee thing bothered me because t shudder having bees poured on you is just augh, but the over-acting made that scene more WTF than anything else.
