Heh. Your opinion on the trailers was the one I wanted most. I think I have a hard time telling when I am being shamelessly manipulated, and I can usually count on you to cut through that sort of thing for me.
I'm still interested in checking it out, though.

Has anybody heard anything about the Pursuit of Happyness, Will Smith's new movie? The trailers are breaking my heart.
It seemed nice enough, if too uplifting for my blood. But having seen the trailer I got the distinct impression that seeing the longer film would now be redundant.

I am surprised at myself, considering my very favorite show in the world featured a kid's finger getting broken with a loud pop last week. But it is the holiday season and I'm close to the earth. I guess I can't be about murder and mayhem all the time. Most, maybe, but not all.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.
They were all on Oprah the other day (Will and Jayden Smith, the real guy, his real son, etc.), and I was pissed off at how every single clip made me mist up. And they showed a ton of them, and many twice. I have no need to see the movie now. All the emotional manipulation, none of the movie theater experience!

When that Keanu Reeves baseball movie (I'm pretty sure I have the actor and sport right) was in previews, I was really glad to be dating a musician, who explained in detail precisely how the music in the preview was making me misty. It's not our fault!!
