Buffista Movies 5: Development Hell
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
OMG, Daniel Radcliff would have to do a lot of screaming to bring CAPSLOCK Harry to life.
(OotP is probably my least favourite of the books.)
I *am* looking forward to the whole Dumbledore's Army bits and all the Black family backstory. But Umbridge is going to be tough to take. I HATED the Umbridge parts in the book, and not in the love-to-hate way either. Well, except the twin's exit. I love that part.
I notice that Helena Bonham-Carter's Bellatrix has a Rogue-ish white streak in her hair, which is an interesting choice. Hmmm.
She also has the crazy eyes.
I'm very excited about Dumbledore's Army. And Neville.
I'm very excited about everything.
But, I'm 12.
You say "Rogue", I say "Bride of Frankenstein."
And Neville
Oooh. Was OotP the book where we get to meet Neville's parents at St. Mungo's? Oh, man. Poor Neville. I remember loving that section.
Yeah, Vonnie. Cause they spend Christmas at 13 Grimmauld.

I was deeply annoyed by ASSCAP!Harry until I remembered what I was like at 15, and realized things could have been worse. There could have been emo poetry! Although I wouldn't mind if Harry had wanted to try the black eyeliner, miniskirt, and combat boots that went with the emo poetry, because I'm perverted like that.

I reallyreallyreally hope that they include all (or at least most) of the lovely Neville bits in the movie. The actor (Matt Lewis--is that right?) did a great job in Goblet of Fire, and I hope the writer gives him a chance to expand on that in OotP.
Serial to add:
I HATED the Umbridge parts in the book
Two words--Blood. Quill. That's going to be damn creepy.
And I am so looking forward to the twins' exit! I do hope that they leave Grawp out of the movie, though--that'll take out a big chunk of story they don't need to adapt.
