Buffista Movies 5: Development Hell

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I'm missing the staple removers, the highlighters, the crumpled paper, and what looks like a zipline with pterodactyls. Thanks for the hints! They've helped in weird ways, like I don't know what the association is in my brain, but it's correct.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Amy second movie in a trilogy, but actually takes place before the first movie.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

OK- down to flock of staple removers, highlighters on road, and paperclip man being run over by truck.

pretty sure it's supposed to be

Jess, your second guess is SO CLOSE to the mark, but it's not the crumpled up paper that's supposed to be a boat.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Sean, for #2 it was a book before it was a movie.

And for everyone who's missing #8, it's definitely a flock of something. I've never seen it, but it sounds like a movie that should be a Sci-Fi Channel original.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

there are possibly many here who may be just a little too young to remember the movie in question when it came out, and the era it's from.

That scene is pretty much THE iconic scene for that actor, though.

The guy on the bridge is shown with a rather famous piece of costuming. Very iconic to his character.

Dana, I'm so tempted to put in Flock of Mansquitos now, just to see.

Also, the movie the scene is from is the second movie of the three.

The guy under the truck has switched careers, and people who live in California should have gotten this one by now.

Because books.

Hmmm. Thinking on that, Aimee.

And thanks to ita (and me reading white font like a big cheater) I now have #11. I didn't get at all that it was birds.

Paperclip man under truck is still making me growl.
