I love that Nutty quietly corrected my poor spelling of Thermopylae in my quote. Thanks, Nutty! I knew it had a "Y" in there somewhere.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I only know it thanks to flea. And anyway, you asked!

I think Freddy Quimby should walk out of here a free hotel

Tell that to all the people that protested ABC's "Path to 9/11".

Do I have to? Some of their phone numbers I don't even know.

Well, there are a lot of them. Maybe we could start a phone tree?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Why is Virgin Suicides considered slight? It's a story of, what, five sisters who all committed suicide, most on the same night, and why they did it. Was it a trifle because the girls were pretty? I don't get it.

Also, I think it was the male protagonist who was dreamy and glazed in LiT.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Trivia: Thermopylae means Hot Springs.

Huh. That's actually pretty interesting. I wonder if that means that those poor, doomed souls got to spend their last days before the Persians arrived soaking in what probably amounted to the area's finest spas, pampering themselves before their inevitable deaths. That would certainly provide an interesting new light on the reasons for chosing the pass as the battleground, as well....

"Sure, the pass is strategically advantageous, but I'll be damned if I let those stinkin' Persians have my hot springs!"

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I wonder if that means that those poor, doomed souls got to spend their last days before the Persians arrived soaking in what probably amounted to the area's finest spas, pampering themselves before their inevitable deaths.

Actually, yes it does.

When scouts initially informed Xerxes of the size of the Greek force, and of the Spartans who were performing preparations which included naked calisthenics and combing their hair, Xerxes found the reports laughable.

Clearly, this means that the key to winning the War on the Middle EastTerror is to send Kyan Douglas and Carson Kressley to the front lines in Iraq in order to give our soldiers exercise and grooming advice.
