My Netflix top 10 includes movies from France, Portugal, Great Britain, New Zealand, Canada, and Korea. And Dawson's Creek: Season 6.
Buffista Movies 5: Development Hell
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
And how do you say "have adjectivally-florid, romance-novel-style sex"?
(You think I am not taking notes? Ha!)
My Netflix top 10's genres breakdown is:
- Foreign (2)
- Television (4) (3 Western and 1 SF)
- Classics (1)
- Anime & Animation (1) (and it's Anime)
- Horror (1)
- Action & Adventure (1)
That's reasonably representative of the 400+ discs in the queue, but it gets more TV-heavy the deeper you go.
I really should take some time and beef up my Netflix queue--it's down to 8 items total (the last four discs of Doctor Who, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Syriana, and two other movies I can't recall offhand).
And how do you say "have adjectivally-florid, romance-novel-style sex"?
Seriously?
No, I am kidding. Although, if you know the full range (okay 5 or 10 more) of words for intercourse, from the sublime to the guttural, I'm always glad for a quick lesson.

My Netflix Top Ten is tv-heavy right now:
Inside Man, Touch the Sound, Arrested Development: Season 3: Disc 2, Brick, Weeds: Season 1: Disc 1, 2046, CSA: Confederate States of America, Band of Outsiders, Weeds: Season 1: Disc 2 , The Office: Season 2: Disc 1.
Although I just realized that they finally re-bought the BBC Bleak House, so I can finish it up. That's going up to the top of the queue.
ita, did you do your genre analysis yourself or does Netflix have a tool somewhere to do such a thing?
