We just watched Green Street Hooligans and I loved it. Except Claire Forlani is a stupid bint for taking her BABY to a HOOLIGAN FIGHT. Other than that, I loved it all.
Buffista Movies 5: Development Hell
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Thanks to the hivemind for recommending Music of the Heart. I just finished watching it and the documentary, Small Wonders, upon which it was based. Our team is using it for our school assignment and it is a GREAT fit with the assignment.
The other teams are using Take the Lead and Lean on Me. Heck, one team hasn't even started discussing their movie and this is due in a week.
Sorry - school likes carrots. Thanks for the movie recs.
That's cool, Suzi! I've liked a lot of the school assignments you've had to do. If you ever feel like putting some of your papers up where we can read them when you're done, I for one, would love to see them.
Oh, Jars! That is just fucking awesome. I love her books. I love Temeraire. I hope, hope, hope that Jackson exercizes his option soonest.
Me too. Here's hoping it actually gets made.
Weta can perfect their dragon making process with the Hobbit and go on to make many many dragons with Temeraire.
perfect their dragon making process
Yeah. I haven't been overly impressed with any cinema dragons I've seen. Although, there are many I haven't seen, so they could be improving in leaps and bounds. It's just that so many of the dragons themselves are integral to the story besides Temeraire. I don't want them to look all Henson-like and, well, not lame because I love Hensons muppets, but I want them to look believable. Smooth moving and not herky-jerky animitronics. Not too much CGI to fill in battle scenes. I want a lot, I know, but I love those books too much to see them done half-assedly.
Huh. Jonathan Strange is in development, too. It would be interesting if they both come out around the same time.
If you ever feel like putting some of your papers up where we can read them when you're done, I for one, would love to see them.
Meep.
