A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Yep, It Happened One Night indeed with Claudette Colbert. S and I watched it a few months ago, and it was wonderful in lots and lots of ways.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

What is that movie with Clark Gable and the blonde woman (Claudette Colbert?)

She's not blonde. But that's the movie.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Jean Harlow's Bombshell would make a great double feature with It Happened One Night.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

If you've never seen it, I highly recommend A Slight Case of Murder with Edward G. Robinson. It's a gangster comedy that is just hysterical.
