"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The Nightmare Before Christmas?

Not from the oughts. But the 3-D version is opening this Halloween so that might count.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Has anyone here managed to make it through Nightwatch? Russian vampires were too much for me, it seems. We tried to watch it three times and had to keep going back to the beginning every single time.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I made it all the way through.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

As did I. It was pretty cool, and it had rockin' subtitles.

Does it make more sense after the clip of Buffy vs. Dracula on the television?

It was pretty cool, and it had rockin' subtitles.

Subtitles on a movie in English. Mmm...I didn't think of that. It might have cleared up a few of the spots were I got confused.

It's...not in English. It's in Russian. You must be watching a dubbed version.

And I always thought it made enough sense to follow for the most part, although it did have this nasty habit of, like, not explaining anything. If you keep going, it should make more sense, though.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Has anyone here managed to make it through Nightwatch?

Yep, twice. It makes a LOT more sense the second time through, given the creators' utter lack of acquaintance with exposition. (I still liked it the first time through, but there's a ton of information thrown out in the first 30 minutes or so that went completely over my head because I didn't realize so much of it was going to be important later on.)

Subtitles on a movie in English.

?? Unless there's a dubbed version out there, only the opening narration is in English.

I got whatever Netflix sent me. It was bad dubbing, regardless because at one point, I could barely understand the lines.

Whenver I thought it was making sense they showed the vortex and I got lost. I may give it another try.

I'm not even sure I ever really understood the Gloom.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Just how many fricking CGI funny animal movies have there been this year?
