Buffista Movies 5: Development Hell

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

So sad--Bruno Kirby died at the age of 57 from leukemia.

ETA: that article doesn't mention one of my all-time favorite films, The Freshman.

From Wizard News:

Rumor: Lord of the Rings may return to theaters in 3D
According to James Cameron, Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson is experimenting with the 3D technology being applied to Nightmare Before Christmas that's due out later this year, and he is looking into the feasibility of redoing the Lord of the Rings trilogy in 3D.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Lord of the Rings may return to theaters in 3D

Speaking of which, at the 3D showing of Monster House (which was good, incidentally) they had a trailer for the 3D version of Nightmare Before Christmas which is coming out to theaters this fall.

He was under the ramp and ran out with the booty. Just before the shootings, I think.

He was under the ramp, cowering because everybody was about to start shooting at each other. He only ran out after the big shoot out, but before Mr. White shoots Mr. Orange after he confesses to being a cop.

Emily and I just got back from seeing SoaP. We even had our eyes uncovered for most... about half...some of it.
