Buffista Movies 5: Development Hell

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

The people I was with (who were driving) when I saw PotC2 wanted to leave when the credits started. Would someone mind posting (in whitefont) what happened in the bit after the credits?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Anne, it just showed that the dog had become king of the cannibals. It wasn't as good as the last movie's scene, but I liked it because I had been wondering what had happened to the dog.

Compassionately intolerant

I'm with P-C on the dog.

"You know that means they're going to eat him,"
Now, you see...I totally lalala'ed this to mean the cannibals would assume that the dog has already been freed from his human body and therefore, would be uneatable.

Silly me and my naivete.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Warner Bros. confirmed Monday that Heath Ledger will be playing The Joker in The Dark Knight, the next installment of the rejuvenated Batman franchise.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Warner Bros. confirmed Monday that Heath Ledger will be playing The Joker in The Dark Knight, the next installment of the rejuvenated Batman franchise.

I'm glad somebody's thinking of the slash writers out there.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Aside from Brokeback Mountain I haven't noticed any particular aura of slashiness around him. Now, if they'd wanted to cast Ewan McGregor in the role opposite Bale...

Art Crawl!!!

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

Owen Wilson responds to Steely Dan's letter: "I have never heard the song `Cousin Dupree' and I don't even know who this gentleman, Mr. Steely Dan, is. I hope this helps to clear things up and I can get back to concentrating on my new movie, `HEY 19.'"

Shit's all sorts of different now.

See, when I read the letter from Steely Dan, I thought they were just giving Owen a bunch of shit. Maybe not....
