ita and Jessica neatly clarified what I was thinking about with Shyamalan casting himself. Lots of writers cast themselves, for better or worse, but it was the casting himself in a major role as a Blessed Magical Writer Who Would Save the World, and then getting the critic eaten by a scary thing, that put the bad taste in my mouth. I could've been more clear (and less sleepy) when I posted. Ah well, at least I started a conversation.

Buffista Movies 5: Development Hell
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
I cannot believe I got #23. And #28. And less embarrassingly #24.
That one still of Nicole de Boer has brought back just how creepy and strange the film it's from was.
This one is much easier. I am easily mollified with 26.
ita, out of interest, which ones didn't you get?
Aw, I missed all of #23, 24 and 28. I mean, how could you have a still of Stifler and *not* have it be any of the American Pie movies? Mean.
#21, #23, #26, #30. Okay, not #30. I just remembered the name of the damned movie.
#21, #23, #26
Exactly the ones I missed.
#21, #23, #26, #30. Okay, not #30. I just remembered the name of the damned movie
Those three were the ones I missed too. They seem like an order of magnitude harder.
Aw, I missed all of #23, 24 and 28.
Vonnie, there's no need for sadness. Not recognizing #23 is a good thing.
Not recognizing #23 is a good thing.
Heh. More lowbrow than American Pie, I suppose? Hard to imagine.
The second set *is* a lot easier. I got #21, but not #23 or 26. And I'm sure I know #3, but can't quite recognized that face behind the shades. Hmm.
Is the woman in #23 Melanie Griffith? Or possibly Madonna?
I thought it was Madonna.
