Because the one I saw had a Mars Rover get smashed by something unseen and then the logo. I guess I'm missing the humor.That was pretty much it, but it was just so cheesy and silly and then with the logo unfurling and I might have been in a mental placeto laugh anyway. But I found it silly and cheesy and therefore hilarious.

All the PotC talk (and seeing it last Friday) has renewed my lurve for the best piratical book I've ever seen/read/heard of..."Under the Black Flag: The Romance and Reality of Life Among the Pirates." I heart me some David Cordingly commentary on all things pirate. Including a statement that had me musing all weekend. Imagine a life before (read: without) Stevenson's Treasure Island.

Discovery Channel had an interesting special on last week (and probably still) on the real Caribbean pirates. (ETA: actually I think maybe it was the History Channel)
I was catching up, and I was going to say something about the compass, and how Jack can't get it to work because he doesn't know what he wants most . But now I can just say "what Hec said." Also, I thought I mentioned something in whitefont about the necklaces matching , but I was a little squeetastic at the time, so I might have forgotten.
Also, I figured that the cannibal sequence was in there because running away from cannibals is funny.
