Much envy of Cass, for getting Portland, and Portland, for getting Cass.
Spring is springing here. It's nice. Fruit trees are all covered with softy pink flowers, bulbs are sending up green shoots. Birds are here, for the only time during the year. Magpies are nest-building. (I know this because one dropped a stick onto my car today).
This somehow tempers the $100 oil change I just got.
Thanks everyone! I was doing the emotional equivalent yesterday of biting my nails over making that call. And then just realized that it's hard to leave places you've loved behind but sometimes it is the best thing you can do for future happiness.
Change is good--but hard. We decided to move from NY to LA, and were here in five weeks and we have never regretted it. I bet this will shake your life up in a fabulous way, which you totally deserve.
I think so too. I feel good about it but a little startled realizing how
soon
it all will (so long as this apartment works out) be happening.
Much envy of Cass, for getting Portland, and Portland, for getting Cass.
So sweet. And, you know, this opens up Portland as available for Buffista visitage. With a comfy guest room and everything.
t crosses fingers for people visiting
Brendon is going to be in San Diego on March 7th. Will you be around?
Yep. Brooke's memorial is the 4th and I just remembered that my sister's birthday is the 8th so we'll likely do a family dinner the Friday after. Would be great to see Brendon.
Matt called from milwaulkee this am - talking about the temp rising to -2. I know it isn't that cold here - or even close , yet today the cold is sitting in my bones. I have to go to work, and will hop in the shower soon. I hope that drives the chill out enough to keep it out...
Urgh. Wine tasting party last night. Lots of water this morning. Verbs to return later.
yet today the cold is sitting in my bones.
A nice hot shower should warm you up nicely. At least it usually works for me. I adore long hot showers when it is chilly.

Jessica, your tag cracks me up every time you post. Hope you feel better soon too.
Glad to hear the 2nd day was somewhat better Daniel. (had to be!) I hope things fall into place and you find some fun co-workers to ease the burden.
insent Cass
Cass, what an adventure! I'm glad you're moving to Portland, too, because now I'll have 2 reasons to vist Oregon: you and my cousin Aaron. I'll have no excuse not to visit, anymore.
Lack of food in the house is going to force me to brave the arctic temps.
I don't miss Minnesota weather!
Neither do I, though I am chilled to the feckin bone right now here in SF. I'm tired of people saying I should be used to it, too. At least in MN they heat and insulate their buildings properly and close the bloody door. Silly SF weirdos.
Need to look into moving co's now.
Drunk-driver accident aside (the one that ran into the rig carrying my stuff), I was quite happy with Mayflower. And eee! I'm so excited for you!
