Tep, I'm so sorry for the hard spot you're in.
I have, in the local goth scene. She started working on inducing lactation before the to-be-adopted baby was born, using, IIRC, a combination of drugs and pumping, and was able to provide some BM while her daughter was young. Never enough to exclusively feed, mind. I don't know if she used an SNS. She may have posted about it, but this was a couple years ago.
This is amazing, isn't it? I wanna see a man do it. Now, what does "SNS" stand for?
I hear it's easier for women who've previously nursed (google relactation), esp. if they've nursed within a few years of the adoption.
That makes sense. I know with Julia, I was still occasionally leaking milk months after I stopped breast feeding. Had the woman you mentioned previously nursed?
cereal with mother's milk...
Plei, is Princess TickyBox doing better about eating while at daycare? How about sleeping at night?
Steph, listen to sj, for she is wise. I'm so sorry, though. What head:desk experience.
I am kicking myself for not going to school today anyway. I mean, I'm not bad enough to be hospitalized. Surely, I could have made it through a couple of exams. Ugh.
vw, don't kick yourself. Doctors do not order patients to stay home lightly; that was the condition of them not hospitalizing you. So, no kicking, okay?
Yay for beth's DH's good interview!
What Sparky said, vw. Also, no kicking my friends.
Sleeping at night = ok, if she's in the bed with us. So, we're getting a bigger bed.
Eating, she's been down with for a while.
Had the woman you mentioned previously nursed?
I don't think so.
Now, what does "SNS" stand for?
Supplemental Nursing System.
Tep, SJ is wise.
Doctors do not order patients to stay home lightly
This. You are not well enough to be at school. You need to stay home and get better so this cycling stops and you can feel better.
Steph, I hope the conversation goes well with your dad and his sibs. Such a stressful place to be put in. Also? Perhaps a pronounciation guide for his meds?
vw, what Sparky said.
Supplemental Nursing System.
Aha there is a name for it other than, little-tubie-thing-you-tape-to-your-boob. Go figure (it's been a long time since I cracked open a What-to-Expect book. In fact, it's been a long time since I've had one in the house).
Work today has been the definition of tedious.
I wanna to go home.
Theatre for children is great and all but damn am I bored with watching a 60 minute musical version of Sleeping Beauty.
