Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Herding cats for fun

So, MG, how are the kids taking that "early college" advice? Are they nodding sagely, or rolling their eyes and snorting, planning to waste away their youth with rock and roll?

move out and draw fire

{{{Gud}}} Strength to you.

As the child of parents who had nothing in common but myself and my sister, I used to cry myself to sleep at night wishing they'd get divorced and be happy.

You too? Of course, I followed that up with tears of terror that my mother would get custody. I had a detailed escape plan, if that happened.

Health~ma to Tep's dad...and to vw and sj, although it sounds like the drugs should help. Neat doctor there, vw. Sounds like she's of the opinion that her job would be so much easier if people just weren't ever sick.

KB, that's totally amusing me. I hope Labor Relations eats She-Horror's lunch.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

OK, I can't beleive it, but I am actually going to class tonight.

I hope I don't fall asleep on the subway.

Oh good Lord yes. A world of yes.

The worst part is that they're still together. And hating every minute of it. I can't bear to be in a room with them both at the same time. Luckily that rarely happens.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I just got a phone call. I've got a job with the company I interviewed with twice. It's $8K/year more than the last place that I worked, but it does involve an hour drive each way. Office casual, so I have to wear my nicer clothes.

Still? Job! I start Thursday.

I called Andi at work already.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Excellent news, Daniel!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Yay Daniel!

Also, as someone who had an hour commute each way for three years, let me just say this : Books on Tape are your friend. You can get them from the library, too!

Thrive to spite them

((Gud))) I'm so sorry you are going through this.

I'm going to throw my voice out there a child of divorce. My parents have been divorced for over 2 decades now, much longer than they were married. It was definitly hard on my brother and I but my parents worked very very hard at their divorce and have a really good relationship. When I was little, right after the divorce, I wanted them to remarry but as I got older I realized that the divorce was the right decision for us as a family.
