As the child of parents who had nothing in common but myself and my sister, I used to cry myself to sleep at night wishing they'd get divorced and be happy. Dear Gud: When my parents split up and my Dad moved out, we cried a lot. However, the tension level in the house went down so very dramatically, 'twas a huge, ginormous relief for all concerned. I'm happy to say my parents were then able to pull together, treat each other courteously, and provide us girls with family Christmases, etc. Things worked out much, much better than we'd thought they ever could when they first gave us the bad news. Whatever happens, you will always be Daddy, you will always give love, and I know that you will always do your best for the kids.
