Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Note to Plei--those burn/gel bandages are TEH BESTEST!!!

I know! My childbirth class teachers rock for sharing that tip with us!

And go, Olivia! Yay!

Stephanie, no matter what you decide to do, it's pretty exciting that they called you. If you get the position, how old would Ellie be when you start?

I'm glad to hear Olivia is doing well. Emaryn had to spend some time in the anti-jaundice tanning booth too.

Trust my rage

Many attorneys around here (of both genders) take substantial time off for child care duties.

This is actually one of them main reasons the job appeals to me. It's for a staff attorney position which means (I think) that I would have a fair amount of control over my schedule. I'm not so worried about the money . I'd take less money for more flexibility any time.

I was away for a while so I missed a few posts.

Well, she's 8 months now. In my ideal situation, I'd start back around June 15th, so she'd be just over a year. I'm not sure how long I could hold them off (assuming they want me). Probably the earliest I could start would be May 1st, which would make Ellie 11 months. If I were to actually get the job, leaving Ellie with someone would be my biggest issue to deal with. Not only would I have to find someone but it would be in another country where I'm not currently living.

Cash, I'm glad to hear you visit with the LC went so well. That's great that Olivia is gaining so much and that the jaundice is going away.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Stephanie, have some "the right thing to happen" ~ma.

I have to grumble for a minute here...pardon.

#@)(*#@# Health insurance taking forever to approve my iron treatments such that the only time available this week is tomorrow. My birthday. Just what I want to do. I already have the work day from hell to look forward to and then the hospital. Oh joy.

sigh

Ok, done fussing. (as if)

Federal government? Your timetable is fine. The feds are very, very slow on employment decisions.

That is so good to hear. I did send in my packet a month ago so that supports slowness too.

MG, I'm sorry to hear about your health insurance frustrations. Sitting at the hospital is no way to spend your birthday.

Herding cats for fun

Oooooh, Katie....you evil temptress you! If I could escape this afternoon, I'd take you up on that, but I have to run around and get blood drawn, pick up K-Bug from softball practice, check on my mom who is having MORE surgery today, and find uniform pieces for CJ.

Oh, oh, we finally heard from my assistant's daughter. She had her surgery (uterine cancer) a week and a half ago and has spent at least a week in ICU. Does not sound very good, but her daughter sounded upbeat, so who knows. We haven't gotten an update since last Thursday.
