You know what they say about payback? Well I'm the bitch.

Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Teh Tep? Teh sex-ay hair.

which always seemed so thoughtful and welcoming. "Hi, come on in! Kotex?"
I give huge bonus points for this. Frankly it's the one time that I don't want to have to be prepared. I usually am but the times not? Freaking bliss not to have to sweat it.

Home~ma to the Miracleborns.

I should be tipsy but am not. Which is actually good cause I have zee bath to bomb now. But still odd since I had a glass of wine more than I had planned. Actually a martini pre-wine but it counts out the same. It was all currant-flavored and I was a basketcase. Seemed the perfect pairing. And now? Since Not!Drunk, bomb-y bath.

My cousin has hung on so far. I am going to head from the airport to home (to pick up my car) and then either hospital or her place depending on if she gets moved.

I frankly had hoped she would have let go by now. I don't think that there is anyone who hasn't been there to see her besides me. Well, at least not of those who would show. Anyway, I am heading there immediately after touchdown in the hopes that she can pass peacefully soon.

And day after tomorrow I call the Post Office to ask the deal on the package I sent ita. Because I have a bad enough rep for mailing without the Postal Service getting some action in on the side.ac

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

My aunt and I just drank some 12 yr. old Glenlivet.

Love my aunt.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If bt goes missing for a while this will be why.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

David! That's wonderful news -- congratulations!

Thanks, sumi, and everyone else. I get half my advance when I send in the contract, and the other half on turning in the manuscript. I'm gonna get a new printer! And a digital camera! And then...I'll probably give the rest to JZ because I owe her some money.

Still, gotta make the capital improvements when you've got it.

Cindy, you were right. Emmett's fever came up in the evening and peaked at 102.7 before I got it moving in the other direction. I should've listened to him when he said he felt like crap. Oh well, I did go collect him from school and we did play Clue (Simpsons version) and make smoothies and watch Teen Titans.

JZ will look after him in the morning while I dash into the office to take care of a few things then I'll be back with him by lunchtime. No way he's going in tomorrow.

Poor Emmett. But good on Daddy.

All is well that ends in pizza.

No Pterodactyls, yet...

Thou shalt not drunk dial, or late-but-sober dial, people sharing hotel rooms with their mother though.

Even if she is snoring again now.

Though thank ye gods for iPods. Sure, it's Good Music Chosen by You but it is also effective at masking the rest of the noise.

I smell of Lush's Black Pearl. Which is curranty and num. I can't pull up the page on it cause of connectivity issues though.

This hotel's wireless sucks sludgey ass. It is infuriatiing actually. Even with the clever little signal booster they gave me when I complained. Ah well. Guess I will have to fill out that customer comment card after all. Because we live in an age where if we want wireless, we really want the wireless...

It's sad actually because the location, for my needs, was perfect and the staff was really nice and when we had requests or issues, they were fabulous. But the wireless is often impossible and invisible. And there is no ethernet to jack into so I can't really come back here or rec it.

Right now? Can't even post this. Waiting for it to deign to signal me up. [Whoot! Postage!]

move out and draw fire

Yay Hec! I hope I said congrats in the music thread when it was announced that you'd be writing for 33 1/3, but if not, congrats, and yay for the arrival of the contract!

YAY Allyson! That so rocks!

I've been pimping AmyLiz's new book to friends also. I'm going to need a bigger bookshelf.

Apartment-ma to the Miracleborns, and next time I buy a car in LA, I will buy from your BMW dealership and make them give you the commission, Aimee, not whatever arm-wavy plaid-wearing salesman asks me what it's going to take to get me into this baby.

I smell of Lush's Black Pearl. Which is curranty and num. I can't pull up the page on it cause of connectivity issues though.

I am wearing Black Pearl also - it was a frimp with my last (first!) order. My DH, who hates all perfumes in general and especially hates them on me, has decided that there are at least 5 BPAL scents I can wear, and one I should wear always.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

koff, koff

Heya lovelies. Am still sick, but am also insane enough to go on my regular rounds, with the added twist of following my friend Nikki around because she was depressed and needed to see her peeps. After N went home, I went and heard the last bit of the jazz @ Grant & Green (my regular). I do love my nabe. Also, I got to see the last bit of the Man United match. Fantastic.
