Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I had the most wonderful surprise today. My replacement iPod has arrived and is charging so it will be all set for my trip to Portland. And I got a second box filled with Lush goodies and a really lovely note from Kristin. Thank you so much. Tonight (and for many nights to come) I am going to have the most wonderful bath. With music too.
What a perfectly lovely day Cass. The comfortable mutually supportive relationship you have with your parents is so important through this transition. I'm grateful that Lori took me to Joshua Tree so that I am able to picture you there. (Hee, you silly clumsy thing)It was quite lovely. I am also amused that, given how wee JT is, so many Buffistas have been there. (Sooooo clumsy. Oops. Pesky plausible deniability is tricksy.)
Am dealing with depression that has suddenly cropped up(juliana) I think, at least for me, that you will just have days that seem harder than others. But you are strong, loved and surrounded by people who want nothing more than to help you through this transition and into a new and happier and calmer life.
I really need a wind-talkerBest new gadget ever. Can someone build me one of these?
His liver and kidneys basically said, "Screw you guys; we're going home." And then they stuck around and got better. That *is* just amazing, Steph. And great news to read. Wow.
What started as joking around about me transferring to our Philly office is suddenly taking a serious note. I talked to Joe about it and it's a little more than half tempting.Ooh! I can see where it would be wonderful for your darling family of three but also where it would be hard because friends would miss you.
Aimee, Manayunk is *so* cute. A great, small-town-like section of Philly. Beware in the winter, though -- there's not much off-street parking, and when they do get snow, plowing and all that is a nightmare. But that's only maybe two months out of the year.
We're moving back near there this summer...
insent, Jilli. Look for the email titled "Distraction."
Mmmm, lunch was good, but it was too early. Maybe I should go out and do something else for an hour or this afternoon will seem interminable.
watching the last ep od supernatural. I never can tell when they are going to creep me out - this one is....
Is that the one with Julie Benz? Or the one with the sanitarium in Rockford, IL?
AmyLiz, it looks like an adorable neighborhood. It's wierd. I even found a CraigsList-ing for daycare in the same area.
My heart is racing.
OMG!, Beagle-lab cross! Soooo cute.
ION - I went to the dietician today and I've lost 12 pounds since November!!
it looks like an adorable neighborhood
I love the greater Philly area -- we lived in Bucks County for eight years, and I miss it so much. When we go back we'll be heading to Chester County, where my mom and dad are, but Philly's still close.
There's a lot to do and see, a lot of great countryside around, and it's equidistant from D.C. and NYC, which I love. You could ask Susan stuff, too -- she actually lived in Philly proper, I think.
Decisionmaking~ma to you, sweetie.
It sounds like something worth considering, Aimee...
Congrats, sumi!
I need to pack for my trip to Portland. First quandry, do I even own shoes with both toes *and* heels, such as would be acceptable should water fall from the sky.
