I'm very sorry if she tipped off anyone about your cunningly concealed herd of cows.

Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Today I slept in with Dave and we went out for breakfast, for the second time in a week. I am feeling all sorts of spoiled.

Yay, Erin! I'm glad you had a good date.

Cass, I am glad you had a good day. Take care.

{{{juliana}}} Feel better.

Yay, for Teppy's big boss! Continued health~ma to him.

Interview~ma, Jilli.

She explained that she hadn't sent him the slides because she didn't want him to read ahead in the presentation .

This sounds like grade school rather than the business world.

May things work out for the best ~ma for the Empress.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

This sounds like grade school rather than the business world.

Hah. Just wait 'til you spend a little more time in the business world. Oh, you'll learn.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Is this the Other Irish Guy?

This was Third Irish Guy, and the most annoying one to boot (okay, First Irish Guy didn't call, but at least he was polite to the servers and didn't try to stick his tongue down my throat until I gave him the go-ahead). However, I've been texting with Pretty Tattooed Boy for the past few days, so it's all good.

I think I will try to avoid that if at all possible.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

On the other hand, snow. And no Sean or ND or Kristin or or.....

I know. That would suck muchly. OTOH, it'd be close enough to family that driving there wouldn't be a problem, but unexpected drop-ins wouldn't happen.

These are both good things.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

VERY good things t no self interest here! why are you people staring?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I had the most wonderful surprise today. My replacement iPod has arrived and is charging so it will be all set for my trip to Portland. And I got a second box filled with Lush goodies and a really lovely note from Kristin. Thank you so much. Tonight (and for many nights to come) I am going to have the most wonderful bath. With music too.

What a perfectly lovely day Cass. The comfortable mutually supportive relationship you have with your parents is so important through this transition. I'm grateful that Lori took me to Joshua Tree so that I am able to picture you there. (Hee, you silly clumsy thing)
It was quite lovely. I am also amused that, given how wee JT is, so many Buffistas have been there. (Sooooo clumsy. Oops. Pesky plausible deniability is tricksy.)
Am dealing with depression that has suddenly cropped up
(juliana) I think, at least for me, that you will just have days that seem harder than others. But you are strong, loved and surrounded by people who want nothing more than to help you through this transition and into a new and happier and calmer life.
I really need a wind-talker
Best new gadget ever. Can someone build me one of these?
His liver and kidneys basically said, "Screw you guys; we're going home." And then they stuck around and got better.
That *is* just amazing, Steph. And great news to read. Wow.
What started as joking around about me transferring to our Philly office is suddenly taking a serious note. I talked to Joe about it and it's a little more than half tempting.
Ooh! I can see where it would be wonderful for your darling family of three but also where it would be hard because friends would miss you.
