Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

OMG, Bless Google. I found a cached jobs page from the company web site with my wording. Yay!

The status is NOT quo.

Oof. Sorry about the sickee.

Why is it so often that attempts to save time often take more time than the task would have taken if one hadn't tried to save time?

Oh yes. I know this well. I live there most of the time.

How's the new crib?

Good if I could finish settling in. I got about 75% done and then got really busy with work. My goal is to get it cleaned up this week.

Timelies!

So, in quilting progress, the quilt top now has one border, and I'm about to sew on the main border. Then, this afternoon, I'm going to treat myself to a train ride out to the quilt shop (it's across the street from the train station, so I really can't justify taking out a zipcar) where I'll buy the backing fabric, batting, and some more thread (I've gone through A LOT of thread with this one!).

I'm feeling all accomplished.

OH! And I'm going to do school reading on the train, so it'll be killing two birds with one stone. Go me!

That is all accomplished. I know I don't have the ability to quilt. Way too time consuming for me. I was very impressed when I saw the work you had done up close in person. Ya got the mad quilting skillz.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Go, Fay!

Go, vw!

Good luck today, Cass. I'll be thinking of you.

Much health~ma to Laura's son.

I slept from 6:30 to noon, which is good but not helpful in my being productive today. Right now I am trying to figure out how to get what I need at the market back into my apartment, without me having to do all the carrying.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Ugh...DH and I went on a cleaning binge this morning, and now I'm feeling naseous from all the dust I inahled. I'm trying to eat lunch, but everything tastes wrong. I suppose it's for a greater good, though, right?

I'm also having a hell of a time with this new ergonomic keyboard. I've been told that it eventually gets more comfortable, but I'm a self-taught touch-typer, and I never realized how wrong my fingering was! I'm slooooowly getting better. I think.
