Did it work?
Anybody here familiar with the Horatio Hornblower series? I've been wanting to check it out for an age - pretty boats, pretty costumes, pretty Ioan - but have been unclear where to start. Deep Discount DVD has this on sale for what looks like a good price. But I don't know how many eps this is out of the total package, whether it's coming in at the middle and would be all confusing, etc. Thoughts?
Also, if anybody is collecting H:LOTS (lookin' at you, erika!), it's also on sale for what looks like a pretty good price as part of this sale.

Epic, SusanW is a huge Horatio Hornblower fan and IIRC knows the series inside and out. She's not here so much anymore, but you can find her on LJ and she'll probably be able to give you all the info you need, plus some exceptionally pretty Ioan icons.

I actually made (I think all of) Susan's hornblower icons, and would be glad to make them for other people if they'd like some.
