Too many Bitches having hard days! This stops now! ::stamps foot:: From now on, only glitter and chocolate for the Bitches! I decree it!
Did it work?
Anybody here familiar with the
Horatio Hornblower
series? I've been wanting to check it out for an age - pretty boats, pretty costumes, pretty Ioan - but have been unclear where to start. Deep Discount DVD has
this
on sale for what looks like a good price. But I don't know how many eps this is out of the total package, whether it's coming in at the middle and would be all confusing, etc. Thoughts?
Also, if anybody is collecting H:LOTS (lookin' at you, erika!), it's also on sale for what looks like a pretty good price as part of this sale.
And Tom! (he'll be at JavaOne which is the week running up to the F2F weekend, so that's why it's financially viable)
Epic! I think that's the whole thing.
Want!
Brenda, are you coming to the F2F?
please say yes please say yes
sj, I'm sorry to say, but I think you're getting the cold shoulder at work. I don't think they'll offer you much now that the holiday season is over. You probably need to find a new (less insane) job.
In fact, I'm certain that they won't give you any work anymore unless they're absolutely desperate.
Epic, SusanW is a huge Horatio Hornblower fan and IIRC knows the series inside and out. She's not here so much anymore, but you can find her on LJ and she'll probably be able to give you all the info you need, plus some exceptionally pretty Ioan icons.
Yes! In fact, I need to start looking at dates and flights and stuff.
Many cool people are coming to the F2F, and I agree with Hec that sj needs to find a new job pronto.
I actually made (I think all of) Susan's hornblower icons, and would be glad to make them for other people if they'd like some.
I'm coming, but we haven't worked out how long yet, Mr. Hecubus, Manservant of the Bay Area Tourist Bureau.
They agree that he's developmentally delayed and that he's got vision problems, but they saw no sign of autism and think that his coping mechanisms are brilliant. He can do some things that the average normal kid can't do.
that is wonderful wonderful news
Do they think the delays are the "blindisms" you've described?
Beej, my Uncle missed his first date with my now (and for 20 some years) Aunt when my Mom went into labor and he had to take her to the hospital. My Aunt didn't believe him and didn't think she'd ever hear from him again.
Plei, you have my permission to spend $25 on Hanna, as they are long-wearing and cute. Preferably on ebay or at your thrift store.
Hee! I think the most I've spent is $10, not including S&H.
However, there's an outlet a mere 3 hours away, in the Portland area.
Danger! Danger, Will Robinson!
