Spike: Lots of fuss over one girl. Other things to do around here--important things. Angel: You know that whoosh thing you do when you're suddenly not there anymore? I love that.

Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Daniel, where did you get your tagline? Also, are gay men obsessed with sneakers? I must have missed that lesson.

All is well that ends in pizza.

It's from an Episode of House.

I am not aware of the sneaker factor, myself.

Oh good. I knew I had things to look forward to. They'll be out on DVD someday. Patience is not my strong suit.

The first few eps House himself is a mixture of mean and snark, after that it's more hard core snark than mean.

I think it was a matter of getting all the writers on the same page.

Not to say he doesn't get mean sometimes, but he usually has a reason.

Damn fine show.

Mostly lurking...

x-posted with my LJ.

So, I have a funny feeling I'm not going to make it through this semester without cluesticking someone in my Abnormal Psych class. Yesterday someone was going on and on and on about ECT being a torture device and people receiving it against their will. Blah, blah, blah. My prof tried to correct him, but the guy just wouldn't drop it.

This was the second class, and the second class where I felt the need to snap someone's uneducated head off. Mom thinks I need to warn the prof of my background so when I finally snap, he's had some warning. I haven't decided. It may be more fun to shock the whole class!

So, thoughts? Warn or don't warn? That is the question...

Were you in my Abnormal Psych class? I had the same thing happen to me on Tuesday. I had this little bitca next to me going on and on about how she would never do that. I wanted to smack her. Luckily my professor smacked her down for me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Beej, how could you possibly know him well just by reading stuff on the internet? What sort of sources were you reading? A blog? Discussion boards? Articles? Myspace? Friendster?

Give the guy a shot face to face. It's only fair.

Trust my rage

vw, if you are comfortable, I would warn. Your prof may be able to "direct" the conversation in ways that might help you avoid feeling like you are going to cluestick someone over the head. Also, I'd imagine there might be some topics that might make you feel a bit uncomfortable and it might be nice if your prof knows this (like if writing a paper or attending a lecture is particularly hard or something).

Of course, you feeling comfortable with it is the most important thing.

Oh, I've watched the first season in as close to a marathon as Netflix would allow me.

I'm getting the pig!

vw - I'm feeling a little cruel this morning so my suggestion is not to warn anyone. You don't have to completely lose it to get your point across to the uninformed that (WHY?) feel the need to preach.

BTW - Thanks to you all for the non-smoking support.
