I'm doing okay with one meal a day on workdays. I've been doing it for a couple of weeks. It's just frustating, a year and a half ago we were in good financial shape, no consumer debt, just a mortgage. Then when I took over family finances this fall, I discover that things are really bad. I should have paid more attention.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Eh, couldashouldawoulda, you did what you thought was right and you're fixing any mistakes now.
And eat something for pete's sake.
I should have paid more attention.
Yes, of course, it's your fault that your wife simply stopped paying the bills. You should punish yourself by denying yourself meals. That'll teach you!
Morning Gronklies All.
Dear Epic, thank you for the boss rebuke and poking (he's a nice big target).
My pleasure, I assure you. Since I'm pretty confident I'd get into rather a large amount of trouble for bringing the dirk in and "reprimanding" my own cow-orkers, virtually rebuking yours and Kat Bee's is nicely satisfying. Wait a sec - Kat Bee? Is this the same boss with the whole check-giving-taking-back-basically-stealing-money-from-you Harpy that you spoke of earlier? If so, I think the dirk may not be strong enough punishment. For her, I'll borrow Lord McFionn's broadsword. *gets firm two-handed "poke" ready*
{{{Gud}}} Please be as good to you as you can be.
I'm sorry. Still hate your wife. I know you'll defend her, too, which makes it more painful.
Hey everyone, what's "fnord" from?
I think it's an Illuminati thing. Here's the whatis definition
I'ts also one of Pinky's sayings on Pinky and the Brain.
A piece of toast in the morning Gud, and take a PB&J (or similar) sandwich to work. We're talking pennies.

It isn't punishment, it's just cutting back. 'Sides, I know some people get real strong bad effects from missing meals, but I'm not like that. Get a bit hungry during lunch time, but then it goes away. I never tended to eat a big meal at lunch anyway and half the time I didn't eat breakfest anyway for lack of time.
But isn't stress making things harder on your admittedly super metabolism?
Just TRY something nutritious part way through the day.

I do take a big 'ol multivitamin every day. Tom Cruise would be proud.
