My supervisor just told me about something I'm expected to finish by the end of the week that she knew about in December. Is there an ointment for that? (I told her "not possible, maybe by the end of next week." Fortunately, she volunteered to tell the Big Boss it was her fault.)
MG, you are absolutely cut out for the guardianship thing. You're living proof for C that she can make different choices than her parents, and be a cool, wonderful, warm, giving and dependable person.
Gronk. First class was so boring. I am hope briefly to eat, and then back for my second class.

I was going to suggest a little arsenic on some powder sugared doughnuts, but then I read the next bit:
(I told her "not possible, maybe by the end of next week." Fortunately, she volunteered to tell the Big Boss it was her fault.)
And so, I can't.
Someone needs to tell my boss not to instruct people to ship materials to my name at the conference I'm not attending (but he is).

Oh me me! I will! How strongly worded?
Big day for mergers...I linked to this in the tech thread, but
Disney has agreed to purchase Pixar for 7.4 Billion Dollars.
Disney will buy Pixar in an all stock transaction that makes Jobs Disney's largest shareholder. Jobs will also join Disney's board.
VERY strongly. Using something sharp to get your point across would be good. If you can get a word in edgewise.
(and thanks - I was afraid I'd killed the thread)

Oh excellent! I got a bee-yoo-tiful new dirk for X-mas. I've been strongly discouraged from getting an edge put on it (blah blah, over twelve inches, blah blah, deadly weapon, blah blah, five to ten), BUT it has got a bit of a point to it.
Don't *poke* send materials *poke* for the conference *poke* that Toddson *poke* is not attending *poke* to Toddson *poke* just because *poke* you're too big of a *poke* git *poke* to change the name on the forms. *poke* Stupidhead! *poke**poke*
And no worries about me getting a word in. I've got mad skillz when it comes to talking. (See UserID, which usually describes my talking style more than my posting style.)

That sucks for Emeryville. That sucks for Pixar really. It's great for Jobs, though, as now he's going to be a major stockholder at Disney.
Yeah, I'm wondering what effect it's going to have on Pixar's corporate culture. I always hoped that someday I'd land a job there.
