We're proud to say that the Class of '99 has the lowest mortality rate of any graduating class in Sunnydale history.

Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Big day for mergers...I linked to this in the tech thread, but Disney has agreed to purchase Pixar for 7.4 Billion Dollars.

That sucks for Emeryville. That sucks for Pixar really. It's great for Jobs, though, as now he's going to be a major stockholder at Disney.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Yeah, I'm wondering what effect it's going to have on Pixar's corporate culture. I always hoped that someday I'd land a job there.

Librarian Warlord

My husband plays Ultimate at Pixar during the lunch hour sometimes. I'll have to encourage him to go soon and see what the peons think.

Herding cats for fun

Me too, Spidra... and my pal who's been laid off from Lucasfilm already had a resume in at Pixar, so we'll see what becomes of that. Smart money sez: nada.

I'm dubious about this purchase, for I've liked Pixar since their short with the hopping lamp displaying personality. They tend to have good storyline to prop up the eye-popping special yada yada yada. Plus, John Lasseter helped to bring English dubbed Miyazaki films into ready availability. Since I spent, oh, maybe 15 years longing to see "Laputa" again, that was a very good thing for moi.

Epic, when you're done with the dirk-poking of Toddson's boss? (tell him for me, if he's so important, he should realize that conference staff will only be confused by a name that's Not Available) Couldya get in a few jabs at my latest, pleeeaze? Thanks ever so.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

We're supposed to stagger leaving work today, to help with traffic in the snow. They apparently decided this at 3:30. We get off at 4:30. We found out at 4:15. We've decided we should send someone home every three minutes.

Argh.

There are times when I'm really glad that I walk to work.

Am I the only one who thought libkitty was going to work for the Ministry of Silly Walks?

Good lord, the Ministry of Silly Walks is no reason to KILL THE THREAD!

I drove back from West Virginia today. It wasn't too awful. Though I was very tempted by the Cheerwine and Moonpie possibilities, and caved, and bought a moonpie. But they had no diet Cheerwine, so I passed.

Um...now look...now look, mate, I've definitely 'ad enough of this. That thread is definitely deceased, and when I posted in it not 'alf an hour ago, you assured me that its total lack of movement was due to it bein' tired and shagged out following a prolonged squawk.
