Skipping ahead because I have to whine. THEY FLOODED MY LIBRARY AGAIN. Sorry about the asscaps, but ^#$%^#*!

Fortunately, it was during the day this time, so we were able to save the books with only minor wetness, but I'm so sick of this. They did fix the pipes, but another agency upstairs persists in using a water cooling system for their computers that overflows and floods us.

This week I am scheduled for a four hour on call shift (I probably won't get called in), and I one hour store meeting on Saturday. Next week week I have just one hour on call shift, and that is it. Why do I have a job again? This sucks.

This is why they have that fun compressed gas system that saves the computers (though not so good for people as I recall) without water. [eta: Google wasn't helpful but its whatever TD Waterhouse uses in its Call Centers... Also why I know not to push big red buttons no matter how inviting.]

Oh, that is the best part. The employee discount we got at the sister stores isn't supposed to go into effect for 90 days after your hire date. The gave them to the Christmas hires immediately because they wanted us to buy our Christmas gifts there, but after Christmas they took them away again. No one ever mentioned this to me when I was hired. As for the extra bucks, if I don't get my on call shifts I will be making $7.50 this week and nothing next week.
