Oh, that is the best part. The employee discount we got at the sister stores isn't supposed to go into effect for 90 days after your hire date. The gave them to the Christmas hires immediately because they wanted us to buy our Christmas gifts there, but after Christmas they took them away again. No one ever mentioned this to me when I was hired. As for the extra bucks, if I don't get my on call shifts I will be making $7.50 this week and nothing next week.

Yeah. I think they are trying to get some of us to quit now. I am guessing they don't want to actually lay people off until after Valentine's Day because it should be busy. Hopefully, I will get some good hours in the first two weeks of February.
I've totally skipped most of today. I sat and watched three eps of Veronica Mars and caught up on the Daily Show while Owen was at the sitter.
