He Knew He Was Right.
It's just a paperback, but it's something like a Dover edition - the original typesetting and page layout, fully illustrated. And I'm pretty sure that if I slung it right, I could take out someone's eye with a corner of the spine.
Not that it's going to be a fun or joyous read; the BBC miniseries disabused me of that notion. But, damn, it's good, in a grim dark way.
No, it's a frelling painful book and not fun or joyous in the least. But so good.
{{{Kristin}}} I hope you're able to get everything done today and get some good sleep tonight. Poor you!
I'm at work and off to copy one of the microfiche ILLs. Fun! Fun!
Thanks for the kind words everybody, I also got kindly support from my Mom and Mother-In-Law who both got e-mail from my wife explaining that we had a rough counseling session. It's nice to get some support. Neither of them are taking sides or anything like that, just being supportive. Now I've got to try to push that out of my mind for awhile so I can get some work done.
I don't know the situation but I'll second the ((Kristin)) and hope for good sleep as well. If nothing else, good sleep is a very grand thing.
Looks like everybody loves you, Gud. Smart wife, mother, and mother in law you've got there.
Now ignore the niceys and WORK WORK WORK
Not sure about the wife on the whole loving front, but yeah, work.
I'm betting she didn't slag you TOO badly to the Moms if you got nice notes from them.
NOW GO WORK
t cracks whip
That was entirely NOT helpful.
Just met with the project leader on these library books (dissertations, to be more exact). He wants me to decide what is worthy of our copying, which I'm just not sure I'm comfortable with. I have to get these back today. I really was looking for more direction, not a learning opportunity.
Near tears. So frustrated.
