Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Spending as much $$ on an outfit for a doll as I balk at spending on Em is MAD, correct?

American Girl doll?

Compassionately intolerant

The office I'm organizing keeps getting catalogues for this company, which creeps me all the way out with their 'most like me' dolls. You can custom order a copy of your kid...and then dress them alike.

I'm not sure why, but that just seems all manner of weird.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I think little girls like miniature versins of themselves because they can dress the dolls up in whatever they choose and control what they do, since they ususally don't get to control those things for themselves. Also kids have a lot of self-centeredness and having another you is tempting on that score too.

Our wings are not tired.

Going empty handed to a dear friend's house for dinner is fine. I've certainly done so. If I have time I'll pick up flowers or wine from the grocery store. If I have more time I'll bring a itty bitty personal gift like a pretty bookmark. When I'm rushed, as usual, I bring hugs.

Gut~ma

We just opened a new library (haven't even been there yet) and I tend to think of my fines as my contribution to the building fund. Speaking of which I have stuff overdue.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Once again, I am Laura.

Cool.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Absolutely! You're bringing yourself, and that's the good shizznit. Plus, it's the thought that counts, and you thought to offer, and I'm sure she appreciated that. Go you!
