Beverly, they should be shipping on Saturday.
Woohoo!!
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Woohoo!!

Woo!! Thanks, vw! Nice to have an ETA.
Okay, now, opinions, please. Do I get the rest of the stuff and the letters together and mail them all today or tomorrow, or wait another week? Another week isn't going to hurt anything, right? Waiting for the perfect present?
Beverly, I would wait, if only because it would save me from having to make a second trip to the post office.
Oh, good point. Always (or usually, anyway) decide on the side of laziness. Works for me. ::does dance of anticipating Buffista cookbooks::
Cindy - about a year ago I got dumped by my hairstylist cause he had a hissy fit. I posted about it in lj, I'd have to go back to find the story. But I have compared it to a high school breakup cause it felt that stoopid.
So glad you're feeling better Anne.
I have no advice on hair, but I hope you find a hairstylist you can have a meaningful relationship with MG.
The last really good hairstylist I had was in Evanston (at, of all places, the Hair Cuttery). I never had to tell her anything -- she was always able to intuit what my hair needed at whatever length I presented her with.
The trouble with NYC stylists is they're all so friggin' expensive. (All the under-$50 cuts I've gotten have been subpar. Not all of them have been terrible, but none have been great.) I don't mind paying $60 for a haircut if I know it's going to be good, but I'm leary of trying new places when the cost is that high.
Yay cookbooks! Can't wait.
Thanks so much for the MLK and Bobby Kennedy texts. 1968 was one of the most significant years of my life. At the tender age of 14 the assassinations of these men and the violence at the Democratic convention all in one year awakened my interest in the world around me in a most dramatic fashion. I can’t read the words without hearing the voices and tearing up.
I finally cut my hair and am bleaching it now. The headaches make both actions quite unappealing, but I looked like crap.
MG, what did you like about your previous haircuts? I think the one you had on that picture on Deb's steps was very flattering for you.
Just as a quick exercise, look in the mirror and pull the hair on the sides tightly back off your face. Does it look better? A common problem with medium-short hair (bob length or so) is when it's getting too horizontal. It's not flattering for the face to have all that width. Since you have curly hair that could be a problem.
