So, if it says to work until the hat measures 6 3/4 inches from crown, do we think that means the center point where I began, or where the hat started to go straight down?
I think it means "If the hat don't fit, you must still knit."

I always like to think that it's an internet newbie who doesn't know any better or someone with a stuck capslock key. But then, I'm naive.
I remember when I was an undergrad, and the keyboards for the ancient public computers in the dorms were so crappy that everything was either caps or lowercase because changing in between was such a pain. Backspace usually didn't work, and the letters on the screen were often quite far behind the keyboard. Made for some beautiful posts, let me tell you!
