There's something about a food that moves all by itself that gives me the heebie-jeebies.

Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I still have to get Greg something, Nick something, and stocking stuffers for everyone. We're going shopping on Monday. Hopefully that will finish it off, and then to the post office and whew, all done. I think.

Much bebe~ma to Cash. May all be well with you both.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

stay in place baby girl!

I have been wrapping presents for a week. tonight - as I go to wrap my BIL's present- he is highly allergic to cats- my 16lber decides he needs to sit on the wrapping paper, and on the present. I haven't yet convinced him to move. bribery might be my only option.

brillig

I feel a little dirty. I have a line on the DVD of Serenity, from a friend's friend's friend's brother who works at a DVD duplication place. Granted, my copy would be only a drop in a bucket to the number of copies allegedly being made, but I feel like I should send some money to Joss regardless.

Mostly lurking...

I am home from helping J put up her Christmas tree and decorate it with my ornaments. It's a little weird seeing my ornaments (each which hold some sort of story) go on someone else's tree. It made her really very happy, though. So that makes it all worthwhile.

Oh, that was a nice thing to do vw.

I've still got to wrap everything. This year we told Kara that the mailman was bringing us boxes so we could move when we buy our new house, and then we put the boxes in the basement. So far she seems to be buying it. I'm going to wrap everything while the baby people are at school this week, and then keep the presents in the basement until the kids are asleep on Christmas eve.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Four years ago, I can't imagine I would ever even think about sharing that information...and on the WEB! What have I become???

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Hang in there and remember you have Casual Friday friends here in LA too...
Thank you, Kristin. And I do appreciate it.

Yep. Been there, done that, was a little startled.

Still, I command it to stop, and for that little baby girl to stay where she belongs, and get fat and strong, 'til it's actually time for her big debut.
CashSprog, listen to Auntie Cindy.

It made her really very happy, though. So that makes it all worthwhile.
vw might be the most amazing person and friend EVAH!

I have the nightly massive headache. 3.0 worked on it for a while before I left (at 11:30, cause I was slothy today) and I caved and have taken a handful of drugs and put an ice pack on my neck. It's kinda helping which makes the whole hating ice thing sort of irrelevent. And I think I am clenching my jaw, triggering the pain. Not right now, but just in general. Stupid dumb life stressors.

Now I am going to catch some tv and try to find my cats. Ungrateful felines aren't on the bed with me yet and I freaking came home for them. Otherwise I would be sitting in front of the fire at 3.0's still. With her cats. Who love me. Or, at least, let me buy their love with cat treats and belly rubbing.

move out and draw fire

Wow. That article on the DHS investigation disturbed me. Do people not know that the FBI can access your library records without a warrant? And they can then share that information with other federal agencies. It's a power granted by the Patriot Act.

"I tell my students to go to the direct source, and so he asked for the official Peking version of the book," Professor Pontbriand said. "Apparently, the Department of Homeland Security is monitoring inter-library loans, because that's what triggered the visit, as I understand it."

The eavesdropping was apparently done without warrants.

This indicates that neither the professor nor the paper's staff writer knows the law as given by the Patriot Act.

Americans can no longer read whatever they want. Travel outside of the country is considered suspicious. An interest in political science or military history is considered potentially disloyal. And all of these things are being actively monitored.
