Buffy: He ran away, right? Giles: Sort of, more. turned and swept out majestically, I suppose. Said I didn't concern him. Buffy: So a mythic triumph over a completely indifferent foe? Giles: Well, I'm not dead or unconscious, so I say bravo for me.

Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Joe Update

I'll be vibing for the knee to be nothing too serious. On the other hand, boys who stick-fight without headgear deserve the occasional split lip!

Interview~ma to Calli and juliana.

Yay that Joe's ok!

So, I called work. He hadn't gotten the e-mail yet, 'cause he'd been super busy so far today. So he asked me to summarize. So, I explained. He told me I'd always have a job there and to stop worrying about that. I go back on Tuesday, and we're going to make a plan then. I'll probably only work two days a week for a while, till I get back in the swing of things and school.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I'll probably only work two days a week for a while, till I get back in the swing of things and school.

That sounds like an excellent idea. I'm so glad that your boss seems like such a cool guy and is so committed to you.

Honestly, I don't know why he is, but it is nice.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Honestly, I don't know why he is

Because you rock?

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Good luck to the interviewers/jobseekers! Hugs to those what need 'em.

Great news, vw!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Huh. I'm pretty much OK with people having a slip showing, if it's a nice one in a color that goes with the outfit. I can see that looking kind of cool. I'm also OK with bra straps showing, with the same caveat.

I've been apartment-hunting. One woman just told me that she doesn't rent to students, because we're "not at a stage in life where [we] pay attention to [our] surroundings." She also won't let parents cosign a lease, because "I've done that before and it doesn't work out well."

I'm fairly certain federal fair housing practices make refusing to rent to someone based on something like one's status as a student illegal. Of course, whether one wants to go to the trouble of fighting it is a question given that it's guaranteed you'd get a landlord with a bad attitude.
