I have been really productive today. It is a pleasure to look at my list for the week and see most of it crossed off. DH helped me put the xmas stuff away in the storage place. he asked me if it made me sad. But it doesn't. One of the Really good things about Christmas is I know how to put it away, and where to put it away ,and I know it can stay put away until at least the day after Thanksgiving. There are so many things that refuse to stay put away, or are needed when you thought you didn't need it, but christmas stays in the box.

I hope they will, beth. I spoke with both my parents today and they are doing okay. They have their house back to themselves as the last person left just after I did yesterday. They value their privacy as much as I do so this is good for them. And they have all four of the Goldens now who will lavish as much love on them as they can stand with tails wagging.

Good news for Buffistas is that paper doesn't compress much. So tucking yourself amongst the stacks of books on your floor is a decent survival strategy.

And since we tend to be curled up with our books more often than your average bear already...

I'm lingering in bed. I've been having a very hard time with motivation lately due to issues that have been going on for a year and a half. I have a very hard road ahead of me and it gets so overwhelming that I just kinda bury my head under the covers. But I have to try hard to be logical. I'm not going to get out of this hole by hibernating. I have to attempt to climb.

Linger for a bit (specify how long) and then get out of bed and plan your next step in the climb?

I haven't been specifying, but I've managed to be a wee bit productive. And this amotivational depression has been so bad for the last couple weeks that any productivity is a victory. I'm productive at work. I just have a hard time being productive on my own behalf.

I'm burning some comp CDs for friends but my internal drive just gave an error. I think this confirms my suspicion that Apple did the warranty replacement with a drive that was inferior to the one I had before. Dagnabthem. Restarting.

CJ did fantastic at tryouts today. He not only did well with the physical part of it all, but also maintaining focus on the task at hand and hussling between drills.

The teenagers were going ice skating this afternoon and invited CJ and I to join them. We had a great time. I did better than I would have expected of myself, though my ankles protested after a while. CJ is a wild man on the ice...fearless and lacking style, and yet he is everywhere at once.

All in all, he had a good day...now we are home watching Nightmare before Christmas.
