And now my boy's in love. All hearts and flowers. But, doesn't it freak you out that she used to change your diapers? I mean, when you think about it, the first woman you boned is the closest thing you've ever had to a mother. Doing your mom and trying to kill your dad. Hm. There should be a play.

Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Because books.

So sorry, MG. My Jake is a bit like that, so I know how you feel.

Much cat-traveling ~ma, juliana.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

it's helped my son a lot. In particular, he "asks for conflict mediation" when another kid hits him, which helps avoid the escalation problems.

Hey, that's great, Betsy.

love's a dream you enter though I shake and shake and shake you

Wow. I'm not sure I'd be mature enough to ask for conflict mediation if someone were to hit me.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Betsy - we are "California" and they do have "conflict managers". I believe the 5th graders get trained to help the other kids. I should see if that would help this situation.

He is SO beating himself up over this. I have not had to get on him at all, his head is hung and he is barely talking. Breaks my heart until I remember why.

Being a mom is HARD.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Juliana, you might also want to talk to your vet and see if you can get a tranquilizer for Damian for day of flight. Some vets don't like giving them (I've had one that refused), but most will.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm not sure I'd be mature enough to ask for conflict mediation if someone were to hit me.

Nah, you should just hit them back.

For Will it's great that he does that, and as a kid, there's no way I'd have been able to. As adults, we get to retaliate/defend ourselves, because there's no one to suspend us.

Just remember: "Officer, I was in fear for my life." If you can truly make that apply, just hit the fucker back. Harder.

Our wings are not tired.

A friend's dad says "Never accept an invitation to go crazy."

Excellent! I always say "you can't argue with a crazy person," but I like this much better. My family needs to be reminded of this regularly.

{{MG}} I'm sorry. Having to be the mean-mom sucks. Of course I tell mine if they didn't do the stupid stuff I wouldn't have to be the mean-mom. Work with me here kids!

Oh yeah - we will get to that point in a day or two.

Part of me is glad that he is beyond believing in Santa, otherwise he would be falling apart about getting in trouble this close to Christmas on top of everything else.

That Santa fellow sure has the young kids scared, doesn't he? Terrorist.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Some vets don't like giving them (I've had one that refused), but most will.

Then there's Teddy's former vet. Who insisted that Teddy be tranquilized before each appointment.
