Did you see my fireplace picture earlier? Every time I look at it makes me want to curl up in a blanket with snow coming down. It's very soothing.

Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I missed the picture. Where can I find it? Thanks! Wonderful picture! It made me more motivated even.
Fireplace, yoga pants, Casual Friday: all of that sounds comforting and nourishing and very much of the good. Infinitely more so than staying home not-googling.You are totally right. I'm just feeling stuck at the moment. I've packed an overnight bag (I mentioned the Casual Friday-ishness of the friends?) and really just need to grab a shower, pick up some wine and salad and drive up there. The traffic settled down early so I should get moving on these things.
My caramelized onion relish is processing away nicely (except that a tripled recipe somehow only filled *5* jars, which means I have to make more tomorrow), and I am now contemplating dinner.
I have every kind of takeout in the world here. Why can't I make up my mind? It's probably down to either Indian or Thai.
That's from Thanksgiving this year. There's a cute picture of me in that set. I'm a little sausagey in that sweater, but it was cold. But otherwise I like it, which I almost never do, so I'ma post that one too:
My sister, friend Tim, and me in the corner:
Is it just that picture or do you and your sister look awfully alike, brenda? It's a great picture!

I went with Indian. Mostly because I can order it online, and I'm lazy like that.
I prefer ordering almost everything online. Fewer talking with teh people moments.
Which segueways quite imperfectly to my leaving now to go and see people.
Yeah, there's a certain resemblance, to say the least. At a wedding a few weeks ago, someone came up to her and wanted to know why she changed her dress. (i.e., thinking it was one person, two outfits.) Thanks!
Oh, I want Indian so bad right now. That's about the only thing I don't have within a block or two. (It's like eight blocks, she says with horror!)
I had oysters and clam chowder for lunch. (Really fresh, upscale clam chowder.) And chili for dinner. I'm all sated on a cold night in SF.
Cute picture of Brenda!
I'm fiddling with my Evil Eye Cafe playlist. Sort of bizarro cabaret torch songs. Currently playing: "Trust In Me" (the Jungle Book song) by Holly Cole. Very torchy.
