The evening is quiet here. My uncle has gone back over to grandma's house (on my parent's property). Dad is reading in bed. Mom is watching tv and sleeping on the couch. All of the four-legged ones are snoozing locked up in the laundry room.
I am grabbing a quick shower and then heading to my little nook in the (neicelet's) room that grandma is in. I have books, tea, candles (last night's power loss taught me well) and even a wee tv and dvds.
I'll probably wander in and out of here throughout the night.

DxH called tonight to check on me, my family and see how my grandma is doing. Reminded me to take care of myself right now as well as taking care of everyone else. And insisted that I could always call him, day or night. It was sweet.
We talk for a while and it turns out that he's looking for "big boy" (i.e. real) furniture. Again. Still. Let's just say it's been a theme.
He bought a new chair last weekend but is still unsure about a new couch. Mind you, he has no couch currently.
Turns out there is a specific couch he likes but, "buying a couch just seems like such a big commitment."
"Wait. You've been married. Two times. And a *couch* might be more of a commitment than you are ready for?"
Once he started to catch his breath from laughing, he teased that I sounded a little bitter.
So I asked how nice the couch is.
Overstuffed leather.
I can accept that.
