Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Good healing thoughts to Nora's dad, and to Nora.

Me, I'm off to a dr. appt. Just a checkup, no need for alarm. I did get all of an hour's sleep overnight though, there is that. Wish me awakeness. And much coffee.

I'm not going to go back to work today, as I had originally planned. I am a ball of stress and need a day to chill out a bit. And do laundry.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

sj, can you go in to work and then just leave early, before the worst of it is predicted to hit?

I was going to suggest the less popular and appealing, but possibly more safe option of hanging out at the mall after your shift till the road crews get things under control.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I just called out. I told them I was having trouble walking to my car. The manager I spoke to was very threatening. She said I would have to speak to the head manager on my next scheduled shift and that I would also have to "sign documentation" I'll probably get a warning or get fired, but I decided that it wasn't worth risking my life for $30 today. Crying now.

I'm sorry to be all meme when others are dealing with much more difficult stuff.

No, they would never let me leave early.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

sj, hopefully the manager was just stressed out about the storm and people getting in, etc. Maybe things will be calmer when you go in next.

No, this is how they are all the time. A woman called out the other day because her kid had the flu and had been up all night with him. They were absolutely awful to her on the phone and told her her husband should stay home with the kid.
