[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

At the end it says Orthodox Jews have the opposite convention. Where's Nilly? And do they just mean Ashkenazic Jews (which happens a lot when something is declared "Orthodox" or "Jewish").

That claim made really no sense, at least to me. Is this person saying that Orthodox Jews (whoever he's defining as such) all buy specially-made reverse-buttoning shirts? I can't recall ever having heard anything about Jews anywhere having a different buttoning convention.

Simpsons? When they went to Brazil to find Lisa's pen pal?

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Huh, they're making up things about Jew buttoning. Weird.

Hey, Kristin! How's the new place?

Of course.

I've been watching S4 of the Simpsons for hours today, b/c I needed to clean out my bedroom closet and dresser, and I could just put the DVDs in the laptop and listen to them, since I've seen them before, and they were a perfect distraction.

Now I'm watching the one where Bart falls in love with the girl who moves in next door (Darlene from Roseanne).

Hi back!

New place is good! It will be great as soon as I finish setting up the bedroom. The kitchen, living room, and bathroom are set up and clean. It's a miracle! The bedroom, though...yeah, nsm.

I'm proud of myself, though--last night I spent eight hours getting all of my finances set up, all of my misc piles of papers and old bills filed, and my desk cleaned. Today I went to Panera (I found one nearby, hurray!) and worked with one of my colleagues to plan our spring English course, African American Lit. It took us five hours, but I think we have a kickass plan.

I still need to grade a set of AP essays and then get some sleep...after sleeping in for a couple of weeks, 6AM is going to come way too early.
