Hi Kristin!
Simpsons? When they went to Brazil to find Lisa's pen pal?
Of course.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I've been watching S4 of the Simpsons for hours today, b/c I needed to clean out my bedroom closet and dresser, and I could just put the DVDs in the laptop and listen to them, since I've seen them before, and they were a perfect distraction.
Now I'm watching the one where Bart falls in love with the girl who moves in next door (Darlene from Roseanne).
Hi back!
New place is good! It will be great as soon as I finish setting up the bedroom. The kitchen, living room, and bathroom are set up and clean. It's a miracle! The bedroom, though...yeah, nsm.
I'm proud of myself, though--last night I spent eight hours getting all of my finances set up, all of my misc piles of papers and old bills filed, and my desk cleaned. Today I went to Panera (I found one nearby, hurray!) and worked with one of my colleagues to plan our spring English course, African American Lit. It took us five hours, but I think we have a kickass plan.
I still need to grade a set of AP essays and then get some sleep...after sleeping in for a couple of weeks, 6AM is going to come way too early.

Hey kristin. no boxes left...right ? ( I am very funny)
Argh. Just emailed landlord saying "yeah, I heard the condo fees were going up, but the new rent would definitely be a stretch to my budget, I'll let you know". And she wrote back all quick saying "The condo fees and the property taxes are both up and we already weren't meeting the note". Argh. I was hoping to bargain them down from a $150/month rent increase, but looks like no dice.
I'm supposed to go see an apartment tomorrow night, but I'm not sure it's the best idea. It's a cute neighborhood, and a little closer to work, but farther from friends and fun. Same price as this place, and a little bigger, but no balcony. OTOH, finding a place like I've GOT in this neighborhood....well, I'd probably just have to pay the new higher rent!
I think quite a few of you will know what I mean when I say: I'm drinking some of that yummy, jammy Charles Krug port and nibbling on dark chocolate.
Yes, I still have some. I'm just pokey that way.
Mmmmmmmm....
mmmmm...yummy
I've been watching S4 of the Simpsons for hours today,
A friend of mine bought me Futurama S1 for xmas, making me very, very happy. He also loaned me the special edition of The Frighteners, with the director's cut, and like five hours of bonus material on the making of the movie.
It turns out that perhaps other people (like my gf) do not have quite the tolerance for the Peter Jackson/Richard Taylor show that I do. This may have been exacerbated by my exposing her to half the LotR behind the scenes docs in the last two weeks.
I cleaned out under the entertainment center, and found about ten of those catnip-stuffed fake mini-mice, another seven or eight mini cage balls, and a few more cat items.
I placed them all on the rug near the front door, and the cats are discovering the loot.
Sammie just wrestled a magenta mouse and then stared at it. Then cried out to me, picked it up with her mouth, and brought it closer to me and dropped it, then looked at me again.
Too cute. I had to reach out and skritch her head and around the neck.
Damn cats know what buttons to push, don't they?
Harvey just tossed around a green mouse until he skidded into my computer case. Too bad for him that the side was just leaning against the case. He dropped the mouse and bolted before it fell. Smart move.
