Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I got mine for under $100 at Target but I think I got a little bit of a sale on it.

Hivemind - I need your opinion. I am not much of a wine drinker, so I know next to nothing about what is good.

A nice person just gave me a bottle of 2003 Merlot from Ravenswood - vintners blend.

If I were to regift this to a person who IS a wine person, would this be considered a nice choice?

If they drink Merlot, yep. Ravenswood is known mostly for it's zin and all of their wines tend to be on the delicoiusly oomphy side.

Hi Teppy!!!!! Hi SA!!!!!!!

I am alive, and not dead.

Hey does anyone have any advice on how to figure out where the Christmas tree lots are, without having to drive around aimlessly?

Googling "los angeles christmas tree" gives me no love. Or rather, far too much irrelevant love.

Always Anti-fascist!

Yes, a wine person would be blissed. Had a very wacky dream last night involving a college friend, some NYC-istas, and Jeannine Garafalo.

Might not be right, but you could call. Also, check with the Lions - they were always the ones who sold the trees in Alaska.

Thanks erika and cass. I hate being a clueless idiot, but if I were to open the bottle, I'd be the only one at home drinking it and that would come under "not a good thing".

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I'd say yum. I love thier Zin's. And honestly , unless they are snobs - It will be appreciated. If they don't know it , they get a chance to taste something they haven't had. If they know it and aren't fond of it - they'll find some other occassion for it. If I get a wine I don't like I save it for the parties around here. howwever, there aren't too many wines aI don't like...
