Hivemind - I need your opinion. I am not much of a wine drinker, so I know next to nothing about what is good.
A nice person just gave me a bottle of 2003 Merlot from Ravenswood - vintners blend.
If I were to regift this to a person who IS a wine person, would this be considered a nice choice?
If they drink Merlot, yep. Ravenswood is known mostly for it's zin and all of their wines tend to be on the delicoiusly oomphy side.

Thanks erika and cass. I hate being a clueless idiot, but if I were to open the bottle, I'd be the only one at home drinking it and that would come under "not a good thing".
I'd say yum. I love thier Zin's. And honestly , unless they are snobs - It will be appreciated. If they don't know it , they get a chance to taste something they haven't had. If they know it and aren't fond of it - they'll find some other occassion for it. If I get a wine I don't like I save it for the parties around here. howwever, there aren't too many wines aI don't like...
