Spike's Bitches 28: For the Safety of Puppies...and Christmas!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Herding cats for fun

Another lovely Christmas for Chez Bee. We had roast beast and sauteed mushrooms on Christmas Eve and visited the parents Christmas Day, where all was blissfully normal. MIL gave away the surprise of her gift to me right away (a-gain) asking me if I had the Macy's card yet. (No, I hadn’t opened it yet). FIL talked too much and told his favorite jokes (over and over), my sister had a temper snit with me (as usual), and I am shamefully, painfully jealous of my Dad and stepmother because they can have the house remodeled, buy new furniture, go to Italy and start planning to go to France - all in one year. At least nobody told me that what I'd given them wasn't good enough (THWAP to MG's DH, plus some intensive counseling from Miss Manners).

DH is busy cleaning the 2nd bathroom, where the broken washing machine lives, so the repairman won't be offended by our filth when he arrives today sometime between 1 - 5. We hope. If this business concludes on time, I get to see Narnia tonight. Pretty Mishka the fluffy black cat, my Christmas kitty from 1998, was peaceful and agreeable about wearing a big bright red ribbon around his neck all day. He's so cool. Nothing bothers Mishka: wearing ribbons, visiting four year old twins who want to play, even the vacuum cleaner doesn’t faze him. It’s really quite remarkable. Yesterday DH and I put together a paper cat sculpture we downloaded from Canon, and he helped quite a bit with the glue and the paper trimmings too.

Andi’s tiara picture is no less than incredibly beautiful. What a treat to see.

Go Team Mellow!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Happy Kprinkle, Erin!

I am certain the dress looks smashing on you and you in it. Certainly much better than the model on the website -- I suspect she's attempting to look sultry and siren-ish as the dress demands, but she's coming across more as faintly startled by a bad smell. You, on the other hand, shall look boisterous and sex-ay.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

That IS the plan! I was so happy it fit, and fits gorgeously. I'll definitely try that website again.

I have to call and make an appt. to het Cosmo fixed. I wanted to do it over break so I could be nice to her and get her in and out ASAP. Poor lil kitty.

Erin, you'll be so hawt in that dress.

Thanks for all the compliments - I think I giggled like a girl when I opened the box.

I have succeeded in sewing. I believe it is a good thing I did not attempt to do so on my own, as Daniel was key to my sanity and to the safety of the machine. By myself I would have likely thrown it through a wall in frustration. Howsomever it is now wearing the cute if not terribly skillfully made cover which I decided should be my first project.

At half past the hour for the last 3-4 hours, we have answered a ringing phone only to be hung up on. I shall be greatly amused if it continues and if it turns out to be harassment by the lying little snake who got Daniel fired. Would not that make for an innnnnnteresting little side note to a wrongful termination suit?

Caller Id? Phone log.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Until now I've never found the need for Caller ID, and have not wished to pay for it. This may change.

That's funny, DCJ & WS. I've been getting a suspicious lot of hang-up calls, the kind where there's a long pause before the disconnect.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Dear Family and Friends in Michigan:

If you want us to come there so badly next month, buy us a freaking ticket.

Otherwise, Shut It.

Ta, ever so....

Aimee

PS - Everytime someone asks us when we are moving back, it gets bumped back 6 months. Right now, it's looking like 2026.
