There was no malicious intent and, unless there is something you aren't telling us, a first offense. This should have merited a warning not a firing.
First of this type, the only other warnings I've gotten, including a single written one, were for performance. The written was for my spending too much time between calls filling out customer requests in early November.
No conduct violations, except for one time when I was reading a book off a floppy while waiting for them to assign me more to do, and that was just a "don't do that" "okay" situation.

I hope that letter clear things up. I would also check with the unemployment office to see if the might be able to do anything about a wrongful termination suit.
Daniel, are you getting health insurance through your job?
If there is ANY possibility they're looking to terminate your diabetic ass for being oh so expensive you might mention that, you know, casually.
The strange thing is, that it would have been an off-limits subject for me under any other circumstances, so how I got sucked into it, I'll never understand.
Man, that almost sounds like you were set up. Why would she keep coming back to it instead of dropping it? Sorry. I'm cynical about this stuff.
Yeah, that stinks a lot. I'm sorry Daniel.
Also boggling. I wish you good luck getting your job back, Daniel. Just amazing.
Juliana, you have my good wishes as always.
Why would she keep coming back to it instead of dropping it?
Becuase minorities can be paranoid like that.
Doesn't make Daniel any more employed (man, that sucks, and I feel for you, DCJ), but I wouldn't try casting
that
big a conspiracy net without evidence.
Daniel, maybe you can get the employee who actually said the phrase to back you up that you weren't harassing, but that in fact, the woman who filed the complaint had been asking you what the derogatory name for the nuts was?
Daniel, I am so sorry and just as boggled as everyone else.
He's been nice, too, it's just that I don't need to vent when he's nice.
Yeah, I get that. I'm glad you can vent here when you need to and also that it's not all hellish and terrible.
Daniel, this does merit some investigation. Which, you know, is hard to think of, more less do, when you're reeling from being fired. But I would ask some questions, certainly.
I'm so sorry.
juliana, what's been said about knowing *you* and wishing *you* well. But I do believe that there must be many things worth loving about him, or you never would have.
